Phi and Me TV

Phi and Me TV received TV development money to create this comedy festival theatre show from a webseries to a TV show.

A 12 year journey, and what we’ve wanted at the end. We are excited to continue the love story between Kim Huong and Phi Nguyen.

Diana performed in June 2022 for Just for Laughs Australia. The special filmed at Malthouse Theatre will premier on Channel 10 in August. Watch this space.

Laurinda co written by Diana Nguyen and Petra Kalive is part of the 2022 Melbourne Theatre Company season. Laurinda is a coming of age story of a Vietnamese teenager finding her way in a new private school set in the 90s.This play is adapted from Alice Pung’s book. Diana was officially announced the one of Adelaide Fringe’s 2022 Ambassadors.  She shares her ambassadorship with Reuben Kaye and Nazeem Hussain. Join Diana in Adelaide Fringe from Tuesday 8th to Sunday 13th of March in the Garden of Unearthly Delights.

Diana was officially announced the Overall winner of the Top 40 Under 40 most influential Asian Australian of 2021. The Asian Australian Leadership summit c0-conveners and partners including Australian National University, AsiaLink at Melbourne University, PWc and Johnson Partners and 12 judges selected the Top 40. Exciting for this commission by Melbourne Theatre Company, to  co-adaption with Petra Kalive the book Laurinda by Alice Pung. Laurinda is a coming of age book, a young teenage girl Lucy Lam who battles with identity, race and self. Read more here.

Ensemble

I am part of Melbourne Playback Theatre Company ensemble since 2010. We are an improvised storytelling theatre company, where we replay stories instantaneously. We work in diverse sectors including corporate, education, government and not for profits.
